Since 2008, David DeGuzman has been heavily involved in the production aspects of On the Bench, a weekly sports-highlights show at CitrusTV. Starting as an editor, David quickly grew and improved his skills with Avid Media Composer. Eventually, he became an associate producer in 2009 before moving up to becoming an executive producer by the end of the year. David led a team of editors, graphics producers, anchors and beat reporters, working tirelessly to elevate the show to its full potential.
In total, David has been a part of nearly 40 shows as an executive producer, which included two revamped “Year in Review” shows as well as producing coverage of Syracuse’s move to the ACC and the Bernie Fine Scandal in the Fall of 2011. On the Bench takes a look back at what the 2010-2011 school year in SU athletics brought to the hill. Recapping the football team’s bowl-clinching victory at Rutgers to the Pinstripe Bowl win at the Big Apple, OTB also speaks exclusively with head coach Doug Marrone about his second season at the helm.
On the court, OTB looks back at how Jim Boeheim’s “over-rated” squad rose above expectations behind the team’s freshman class and talented senior Rick Jackson. We also have an exclusive interview with student athletes including senior point guard Erica Morrow and lacrosse buddies Joel White and John Galloway.
Anchored by Megan McCormick and Johnny Mangano, the OTB team also looks back at the best of the rest, players of the year and the ultimate montage that every Syracuse fan looks forward to — Images of the Year.
