The Olympics have a special place in my heart. I’ve been in love with the Olympic movement since I was seven years old, when I watched the Nagano 1998 Winter Games on television. Since then, I’ve been fascinated with how one event can unite athletes all over the world and capture the attention of the entire globe.

London 2012 – Games of the XXX Olympiad

David has been lucky enough to attend two Olympic Games in his career. In 2012, he worked for NBC Olympics as an intern, logging footage and helping producers in the Sportsdesk department. David calls it the Olympics where he got his “foot in the door” of NBC, getting his first taste of experience with working at the network level.

Sochi 2014 – XXII Olympic Winter Games

In 2014, David returned to NBC Olympics and the Sportsdesk department, this time as a Production Associate. In this role, he worked more closely with producers out of the Mountain bureau. From finding archive video to conducting interviews out in the field, David had numerous tasks during the Sochi Olympics. His favorite memories include interviewing the designer of the German Opening Ceremony uniforms and watching Norway’s Ole Einar Bjorndalen become the most decorated Winter Olympian in history.

David aims to attend future Olympic Games and would be happy to be there, regardless of his role. His dream is to either be a reporter or a producer of Olympic coverage.
